The scandal that heavily involves Korean sensations Seungri and Jun Joon-young have rocked the K-Pop world in recent weeks. And with the investigation diving deeper into the matter, it seems that other stars are involved as well, Allkpop reported.
Names that have recently sprouted are Choi Jonghun and Lee Jonghyun. However, FNC Entertainment denied the allegations that both stars are involved with the case that Seungri and Jun Joon-young are facing. The official statement of the company can be read below.
“Our artists, Lee Jonghyun, and Choi Jonghun, only have a friendship with [Seungri and Jung Joon-young]. We're clearly stating they have no relations to this case. Recently, Choi Jonghun was requested to cooperate in the police investigation, and he only attended as a potential witness. We're clearly stating he is not a suspect. Choi Jonghun, who has completed police investigation, has been confirmed to have no special relation to the prostitution allegations and more.”
The company further explained that even though Jonghyun has been in contact with Jun Joon-young for a long time, there’s no indication that he’s involved with the scandal. Jung Joon-young has already admitted he had secretly filmed sexual acts of women without their consent and posted them in a messenger chatroom. Seungri, on the other hand, is facing prostitution charges.
And now that the case has spread all over the web, the respective agencies of Seungri and Jung Joon-young have now terminated their contracts. While this scandal has recently come to light, rumors about it were circulating months prior.
At first, the K-Pop community dismissed the allegations as nothing more than trolling of other malicious parties. But now that proper authorities are involved, a lot of people are asking who the leakers were and how they’ve known about the scandal before it blew up. As for Seungri and Jung Joon-young, the investigation is still underway to determine how many women they’ve victimized. The video scandal alone is claiming that at least ten women are involved, with the filming supposedly taking place between 2015 to 2016.
