“Rick and Morty” season 4 is one of the most-awaited animated shows this year. The series is definitely delayed considering it has been on hiatus for nearly two years now. There were many speculations with regards to its release but up to now, Adult Swim is not confirming anything.
So, why is “Rick and Morty” season 4 delayed? While the show’s animator revealed that they have resumed works in January, Adult Swim or the rest of the team remained tightlipped about their progress in the fourth season’s production. There is a theory that “RaM” is taking so long to arrive because co-creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon might be working on more episodes than usual.
It can be recalled that “Rick and Morty” was renewed for 70 episodes which will be divided for the future seasons, and the fourth installment could be featuring more than 10 episodes this time. The show creators already said that they were thinking of adding a few more stories to the upcoming season 4.
At any rate, while details about “Rick and Morty” season 4 are hard to come by, it was hinted that the viewers could see one popular episode format again. Justin Roiland made this big reveal last month, via social media, when he suggested that the third Interdimensional Cable episode is coming back in the fourth season.
Along with a photo of himself in the recording studio, Justin Roiland simply wrote on Instagram, “Idc3 (maybe) @rickandmorty.” It is short but says enough about what fans can expect in “Rick and Morty” season 4.
Meanwhile, “Rick and Morty” season 4 has no release date yet but with the long hiatus, many believe that it will arrive any time this year. Perhaps Roiland and Harmon are thinking of a surprise release again just like the last season’s April Fool’s day premiere.
