It cannot be denied that “Prison Break” season 6 is one of the most anticipated shows this year. The American TV series is very popular, but the follow-up to the fifth chapter was so slow in coming. The show actually took a break, but it was too long as two years has already past since the fifth season aired.
Recently, it was reported that “Prison Break” season 6 is back in production and this scrapped the rumors that the series has been canceled. The show was announced to be in development last year, and it was Fox Entertainment chief Michael Thorn who shared the news.
New iteration of the drama
The chief said that they are working for the new iteration of “Prison Break” season 6 then after about 10 months, it was said that filming has begun. While there is no update from the show’s executives about the shooting, Dominic Purcell who plays Lincoln Burrows in the drama confirmed that they are back on the set by posting a photo while at work.
The plotline of the sixth installment
“Prison Break” season 6’s plot is not so secret anymore as it's executive producer, Paul Scheuring, dropped some hints as to what fans can expect from the upcoming chapter. Firstly, he divulged that they would apply some of the storylines that they were not able to add in the previous season. This means that some of the scenes that did not make it to the final cut for season 5 would be used in the new episodes.
While he said that this is not yet 100 percent certain, there is a big possibility that they will make use of it now. The main point of “Prison Break” season 6 is that it will show how Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) will adjust to his new life as a free man and a CIA agent. He is out of prison, but it was said that he will still feel trapped somehow so he may not be completely happy with his new life with his wife Sara and their son, Mike Jr.
Cast and release date
“Prison Break” season 6 has no release date yet but some of the confirmed cast members include Purcell, Miller, Sarah Wayne Callies (Sara Tancredi), Rockmond Dunbar (Benjamin Miles Franklin), Robert Knepper (T-Bag or Theodore Bagwell), Inbar Lavi (Sheba) and Amaury Nolasco (Fernando Sucre). William Fichtner as Alexander Mahone may also return as per Scheuring.
