‘Power’ Season 6 Possible Air Date, Spoilers, Cast: Joseph Sikora Hints Angela is Alive

“Power” season 6 is happening despite the lack of update from Starz. It will pick up from the fifth installment’s shocking finale cliffhanger that was aired in September 2018.

Renewal

“Power” season 6 has been renewed in March last year before Starz released season 5. This is just proof that the show became so popular that the producers want to do more episodes even if they have not seen yet how the current season will do.

Starz officially announced its renewal for “Power” season 6 through social media. On its post, it uploaded a photo of the lead stars and this was captioned with: “The boys are back. Season 5 premieres Sunday, July 1 on @starz AND we’ll be back for a Season 6. #PowerTV.”

Plot

“Power” season 6’s plot is something to anticipate because it will finally reveal what happened to Angela Valdes (Lela Loren) who was shot in the fifth season’s finale. What will happen to her after taking the bullet to save James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick)?

The thing is, Joseph Sikora (Tommy Egan) already divulged Angela’s fate in “Power” season 6. He is the villain who shot her and shared to his followers on Instagram that Angela did not die in that encounter. The actor revealed this important detail when he posted a photo of the cast and wrote: “This is what it sounds like when doves cry #powertv #season6 #angelaaintdead.”

Courtney Kemp, showrunner of “Power” season 6 also confirmed that Angela is alive so this is really a legit spoiler for the upcoming season.

Will there be More Seasons?

Kemp said that after “Power” season 6, the show has a few more seasons left to go. As to why this is so, he explained that the drama was not written to run for a long time. Speaking to Deadline, he said, “This show was not designed to go 10 seasons. It was not designed to go 15 seasons. It’s not a crime procedural or a sitcom. It’s a closed-ended story that really begins and, in some way, ends with Ghost.”

Cast

50 Cent who plays Kanan is dead so he will only return to “Power” season 6 as one of the executive producers. The other regulars that include Joseph Sikora, Omari Hardwick, and Lela Loren are all returning to the show.

“Power” season 6 has no premiere date yet but Express predicted a June or July release.
