Polish headline inflation likely to have eased in September, to average 3.3 pct by end-2020

Polish September inflation data is set to release this week. According to an Erste Group Research report, inflation is likely to continue its downward movement and ease to 2.8 percent year-on-year in September. On a sequential basis, inflation is likely to come in at -0.2 percent. Consensus expectations are at 3 percent year-on-year.

Falling services prices and the further easing of food prices are expected to weigh in on the headline inflation figure. Core inflation is likely to come in at 3.9 percent year-on-year in September.

“All in all, we see inflation on average at 3.3 percent this year before easing to 1.4 percent in 2021”, added Erste Group Research.
