Companies always try to think of a “different” marketing strategy to keep consumers interested and to boost sales. Some of them really standout from the rest and something similar happened when Coca-Cola, the food and beverage maker, brought in a “Polar Bear” mascot for this holiday season.
The video featuring the mascot’s interaction with people on YouTube has already had over 860,000 views and still counting. While Coca-Cola polar bear mascots are not new and have played a big part in celebrating the holiday season for several years, this particular mascot might become more popular with its antics than sitting on Santa’s lap, KTAR said.
Undoubtedly, the mascot is very cute and according to some fans, KTAR added, the bear has a muppet-like quality to his movements, poses for the camera and even pets one of his human fans.
In a press release, Krystal, the popular burger chain, announced that it is offering Sprite Cranberry for a limited time. The special deal will also include an upgrade of a medium drink to a large combo drink and include a limited-edition plush Coca-Cola polar bear – all for only $0.99.
"Sprite Cranberry is the perfect refreshing drink for this time of year," said Bobby Oliver, Director of Sprite Brands and Flavors for Coca-Cola North America. "We are pleased that our iconic Coca-Cola polar bear will be part of supporting a great organization like Toys for Tots, which represents the true meaning of the holiday season."
