Poland CPI likely remained unchanged in September

The Central Statistical Office will begin publishing Poland CPI flash estimates from September. The final figure will be released on 15 October.

"Deflation in September likely remained unchanged at -0.6% yoy. In monthly terms, prices are likely to remain unchanged", says Societe Generale.

The monthly increase in food prices (partly as an effect of the drought) has been neutralized by a decrease in transport prices (fuel prices dropped on the back of low Brent price) and gas prices cut as of 1 September.

"On a yearly basis, food price growth may be positive for the first month since April 2014. The CPI will turn positive in December 2015 or in Q1 2016.", added Societe Generale.
