PepsiCo's Mountain Dew beverage brand is releasing a new flavor but the consumers can only find it in one restaurant. The company announces the launch of the MTN Dew Legend and it will be exclusively sold via Buffalo Wild Wing, an American casual dining restaurant and sports bar.
As Food and Wine reported, the new MTN Dew Legend was created based on the latest blackberry flavor craze and has been formulated to pair with the chicken wings. This is Mountain Dew's latest drink flavor that was especially made for a restaurant. In the past, it has also supplied exclusive flavors to Kentucky Fried Chicken and Bojangles.
It was noted that while it has already created many drinks for fast-food chains, this is the first time that PepsiCo is making one for a sports bar. The MTN Dew Legend has been described as offering an exhilarating flavor of the original Mountain Dew with hints of blackberry, ginger, and citrus.
Moreover, the new drink has been formulated to enhance the taste of Buffalo Wild Wing's burgers, sauces, and other bar food menus so it is expected to be a perfect pairing. The MTN Dew Legend will surely make sports bars a great place to enjoy watching their favorite sports while also having great food on the side.
"Buffalo Wild Wings and MTN DEW both know a thing or two about passionate fan bases and how to take celebrations to the next level with great-tasting food and beverages," PepsiCo's global food service's chief marketing officer, Scott Finlow, said in a press release that was published on Thursday, March 3. "Together, our goal is to elevate the sports viewing and dining experience, with MTN DEW Legend serving as the ultimate wingman."
PepsiCo stated that customers could buy the new MTN DEW Legend at Buffalo Wild Wings' more than 1,200 locations. It is already available in some locations and will be released to the rest of the BWW's outlets nationwide by May 2022.
"At Buffalo Wild Wings, we strive to provide our guests with mouthwatering flavors and exciting innovations across our menu," Buffalo Wild Wing's chief marketing officer, Rita Patel, said. "MTN DEW Legend is a unique drink that we are proud to serve exclusively at our sports bars."
