“Overlord” Season 3 Episode 12 is going to be a bloody mess for the shonen series. Indeed, the “Massacre” subtitle alone is a telling sign of how one-sided the upcoming conflict is going to end, Otaku Art reported.
Violence has always been among the themes of this video game-oriented anime and it will highlight this fact again in “Overlord” Season 3 Episode 12. The previous skirmish already started on a red note as Prince Barbro was killed off by Lupusregina during a failed attempt to infiltrate Carne Village.
What’s surprising, however, is Enri managing to summon a goblin army which able to fight off both the Kingdom and the Empire’s army. The clash proved to be a one-sided conflict as well. In “Overlord” Season 3 Episode 12, this lopsided fight will be underlined, with more emphasis this time.
Ainz Ooal Gown himself will be present during the upcoming battle and the overpowered sorcerer will unleash his spells against the advancing threat. Both the Kingdom and Empire infantry will stand no chance as Ainz brought Death Knights with him. What’s more, “Overlord” Season 3 Episode 12 will have the ruler of The Great Tomb of Nazarick summon Dark Youngs, creatures created by a super-tier spell.
These entities will then punch through the remaining armies of both factions, sending the fortunate ones in a desperate retreat, if they manage to retreat at all. However, Gazef Stronoff will stand his ground and try to fight off a Dark Young alone. The warrior has already proven in the past his skills in combat but this challenge in “Overlord” Season 3 Episode 12 will be his toughest one yet.
It’s still unclear what Ainz’s objective will be once he has crushed the opposing forces, but if his past actions are anything to go by, his next maneuver will be a calculated one The sorcerer already learned his lesson when he didn’t account for possible scenarios to occur, especially when Shalltear paid the price for his oversight. This is why in “Overlord” Season 3 Episode 12, Ainz will employ an overkill to ensure that everything will play out according to his plans. The next episode will air on Sept. 25, a few hours from this writing.
