Saitama and the other heroes barely made it out alive in the season 2 finale. Aside from fighting with the Hero Hunter, Garou, they were also surprised by the attacks of a couple of vicious monsters. The one-punch hero arrived at the final scenes showing what he is capable of, but they were unable to capture Garou. The way things ended earlier this year suggests that Saitama and Garou will meet again in “One Punch Man” season 3.
'One Punch Man' season 3 plot, spoilers: What is Saitama’s next move following the season 2 finale
If “One Punch Man” season 3 would not skip any scenes from the manga, the first time fans will see Saitama again is likely while he is in his apartment with the other heroes. They are all recuperating from the previous fight when Fubuki arrives to scold them for not showing any sense of urgency.
Saitama’s next encounter with Garou should happen soon once the new installment premieres, especially if “One Punch Man” season 3, will take the same pace as the previous episodes. However, their next meeting will not be a full-blown fight and would rather be a funny one.
Garou and Saitama’s reunion in “One Punch Man” season 3 could be happening when the hero and the half-monster end up visiting the same restaurant. Saitama, who ends up not having money to pay for his meal, uses Garou’s presence as an excuse to escape the bill. Instead of fighting with Garou, Saitama gives him a sermon that would extremely annoy the hero hunter forcing him to want to hurt Saitama for real. As a response, Saitama punches him in full force knocking out Garou.
“One Punch Man” season 3 should also start by giving an update to the whereabouts of Garou. As the season 2 finale suggested, he will wake up in the Monster Association hideout. He will later meet Orochi and the other monsters.
'One Punch Man' season 3 release date: When will new episodes arrive
Producers have yet to confirm “One Punch Man” season 3. It is also still unknown if J.C.Staff would still be the studio to work on the next season. The decision on this matter could greatly affect the timeline of season 3’s release. Without any formal announcement, a 2020 release date remains unlikely.
