The samurai from Wano Country may have just found the perfect ally in their fight against Kaido and Orochi. Well, Jack, the Drought didn’t really run into Roronoa Zoro in the current chapter, but he met another formidable opponent that has just been introduced in the manga. Who is Shutenmaru, and will readers see more of him in “One Piece” Chapter 922 and beyond?
First of all, Shutenmaru didn’t really look like a strong character so it was surprising to see him go toe-to-toe with Jack. In fact, he even managed to cut the Disaster across the chest. Looks can be deceiving indeed. Their duel didn’t really last long, though, since Kaido interrupted it by appearing all of a sudden in the form of a dragon. Can Shutenmaru escape from Kaido in “One Piece” Chapter 922?
The good news is that Kaido doesn’t seem to be interested in Shutenmaru. He just wants Jack to search for Luffy. If the leader of the Atamayama Thieves can get away unscathed he may end up helping Luffy take down Kaido and Orochi. Who knows, Shutenmaru may be one of the nine Samurai in the prophecy. Of course, Luffy may not be happy with Shutenmaru when he finds out that the thieves raided Okobore Town.
As predicted, Kin'emon and Kiku spent most of the chapter explaining the plan, and it seems they have already made their move before Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates arrive in Wano. Zoro and Usopp’s task is to look for allies, while Franky is trying to get the blueprints of Kaido's residence by working for the architect who built it. Robin is doing her part as well as she pretends to be a geisha to get close to Orochi so she can spy on him. That explains why they haven’t been seen since Luffy got there. Readers will probably find out more about what they have been doing in “One Piece” Chapter 922.
