‘One Piece’ Chapter 913 Release Date, Spoilers: Sorcery of Basil Hawkins’ Devil Fruit Revealed; New Character Saves Luffy, Zoro

The official release of “One Piece” chapter 913 is happening within a few days, which means more and more plot leaks are available online. The next manga chapter is going to tell fans more about Basil Hawkins’ Devil Fruit power. Meanwhile, Luffy and Zoro will later be saved by a new character.

As hinted at in the previous chapter, Luffy and Zoro will be up against Hawkins and his minions in “One Piece” chapter 913. Though a battle is going to happen, Hawkins seems to be quite lenient with Luffy and Zoro.

At the beginning of “One Piece” chapter 913, Luffy and Zoro will be exchanging some confrontational words with Hawkins. Ultimately, Hawkins threatens the protagonists that their chance of surviving in Wano for an entire month is as low as 19 percent.

After their brief confrontation, Hawkins’ minions approach to attack Zoro and Luffy. And as seen on the last pages of the previous chapter, both characters are more than happy to fight. While battling with Hawkins’ minions in “One Piece” chapter 913, Zoro’s attention will be caught by the sword — the Nidai Kitetsu — that Luffy has.

Zoro, being the swordsman that he is, immediately recognizes that the weapon is a Meito-grade sword. Zoro asks Luffy to hand him the sword but the latter is preoccupied with beating down (not using the sword) the enemies. So it does not look like the Nidai Kitetsu will be used by Zoro in “One Piece” chapter 913.

A key plot in “One Piece” chapter 913 is discovering the power of Hawkins’ Devil Fruit, which is called the Straw-Straw ability. According to spoilers, Hawkins can transform his blade into a straw blade, which then becomes a “sorcerer.”

Hawkins then brings out a set of tarot cards. And whatever card he picks out seemingly dictates what happens in his fight with Luffy and Zoro. Fans will see in “One Piece” chapter 913 that Hawkins’ straw blade acts based on the tarot card that he gets from the deck.

Later, Luffy and Zoro run away to fulfill the mission of bringing Otama to a doctor. Though Hawkins initially chases them, he predicts that the protagonists will be saved by a woman, who turns out to be the new character in “One Piece” chapter 913 named Otsuru.

But Otsuru is, in fact, the woman that Zoro saved in chapter 912. More details about her character and the tea shop she owns are going to be discussed in “One Piece” chapter 913, which will be officially released on Aug. 6.
