After several teaser photos were released for “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10, fans can conclude that all four main characters stuck in Mexico are facing a difficult challenge early on in the season. But will this eventually lead to the demise of Special Agent G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell)?
“NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10 opens with the continuation of the agents’ off-the-books mission in Mexico. It can be recalled that the agents mounted the said operation to save the son of Executive Assistant Director Shay Mosley (Nia Long).
Callen is joined by NCIS Special Agents Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), Sam Hanna (LL Cool J), and LAPD Detective Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen). However, Callen's determination to bring back Mosley’s son alive is on another level. But could this also mean something bad is looming in “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10?
TV Insider recalls that showrunner R. Scott Gemmill said Callen would not mind sacrificing his own life to fulfill his promise. “Callen made a pledge to Mosley to find her son. He’s a man of his word — even if it kills him," Gemmill told the publication.
Meanwhile, the showrunner was also straightforward with the dangers that the agents face right at the start of “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10. "They’re a fractured team heading to Mexico, and it takes a deadly turn early,” Gemmill added. “Finding Mosley’s son and getting him back to his mother are two very different things."
It is also important to note that Kensi and Deeks are obviously going to live through their live-or-die mission in Mexico as their wedding has been confirmed to take place in Los Angeles” season 10.
Kensi and Deeks' demanding jobs have taken a toll on their relationship. Before season 9 ended, the couple got into a very serious fight, leading to them calling off their engagement. However, fans should not worry as Gemmill already confirmed wedding bells are in order for “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10.
“We are excited to finally see that happen this year, probably after Christmas,” Gemmill told Entertainment Weekly. Fans should also note that if their wedding is happening after the mid-season finale, it means Deeks will still be on the show for more episodes despite worries that he is gearing up to leave his uniform for good in “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 10. The series returns on Sept. 30 at 9:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
