NEWPORT NEWS, Va., Jan. 10, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The doctors and staff at N2 Eyes Comprehensive Optometry proudly serve the Hampton, Newport News, and Farmington, VA communities. From their Newport News office, Dr. Nathalie Cassis and Dr. Martha Overmeyer provide comprehensive optometry services. Their practice focuses on using the most up to date technology to thoroughly examine each patient's vision, eye health, and to make recommendations for preventative care. In addition to regular eye exams, contact lens exams, and a fully stocked frame room, N2 Eyes Comprehensive Optometry offers pre- and post-operative care for LASIK corrective surgery patients.
In addition to her course of study at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Dr. Nathalie Cassis of N2 Eyes Comprehensive Optometry has specialized training in specialty contact lenses such as Ortho-K, gas permeable, bifocals, and scleral lenses. Dr. Cassis is board certified from the American Board of Optometry. She believes that this certification is a sign that patients, particularly those new to the practice, can place their trust in her care. "Board certification ensures that the doctor has demonstrated a high level of excellence in patient care," said Dr. Cassis. "For our patients, it is an outward sign of what they already know. That we care about our patients deeply enough to continue our educations, to provide the best possible care for those who entrust us with their vision."
Dr. Martha Overmeyer joined N2 Eyes Comprehensive Optometry after graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2013. "What attracted me to this practice was the comprehensive services offered. My professional interest lies in pediatric optometry. Here we treat people of all ages and conditions, including those managing chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure which can lead to a host of eye diseases. We work with patients from a young age to teach them how to take excellent care of their eyes."
During a comprehensive eye exam, Drs. Cassis and Overmeyer will use state of the art equipment to screen each patient for problems with vision, color vision, responsiveness, peripheral vision and depth perception. They will make recommendations to address any problems they find including specialty contact lenses for those who may be classified as hard to fit or vision therapy to address issues with eye tracking. They can also discuss the possibility of corrective surgery to remedy vision deficiencies considering any health issues which may prevent such surgery.
