When celebrity couples break up or get divorced, they often issue statements implying they are separating on good terms and they will remain friends. As for Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton's case, the “The Voice” coach said after their divorce that he is “buddies” with the Pistol Annies singer. However, a source recently claimed they almost never talked since their divorce was finalized.
In 2015, after their divorce, Shelton said he and Lambert intended to remain “cool” through the entire process. He added, “It is what it is. We're buddies.” However, a tipster told Us Weekly that the country music stars barely communicated since the divorce. This explains why Shelton only learned of her wedding through the news. “Blake was not given a heads-up and doesn’t know her new husband. Since they split they have had almost zero contact,” the source explained.
Miranda Lambert announced their wedding a few days after Valentine's last month through a series of photos on Instagram. The images show they got married in a ranch in Tennessee, the state where the country music songstress resides. Blake Shelton's ex referred to her new husband as the love of her life and thanked McLoughlin for loving her.
Meanwhile, other reports also suggest that Shelton does not really mind whether he got the call from Lambert or not. Someone within Shelton's circle told PEOPLE, “ He put Miranda in his rear view mirror long ago. Miranda brings nothing positive to his life. Their marriage ended and he moved on. Ever since he is grateful every day.”
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton got married in 2011 and got divorced in 2015. Since then, Shelton has been in a long-term relationship with fellow music artist Gwen Stefani. Lambert, on the other hand, also dated someone from the music industry — Evan Felker. However, breakup rumors were confirmed last August. Then, in November 2018, Lambert reportedly met McLoughlin who was on duty for crowd control when Pistol Annies had a live performance for “Good Morning America.”
