Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Split Rumors: Former Disney Star Explains Why She Deleted Her Instagram Posts

Last week, Miley Cyrus deleted all her posts on Instagram, which made gossip outlets speculate that she’s no longer with her longtime partner, Liam Hemsworth. One of the most popular speculations on the couple’s breakup was supposedly Hemsworth getting exhausted waiting for Miley to fully commit to their relationship.

NW magazine claims (via Gossip Cop) that due to the “Hannah Montana” star delaying their marriage and refusing to have children, the actor felt that she doesn’t have their relationship’s interests in mind. OK! Australia also published a similar story, adding that an insider of the publication said Liam Hemsworth felt like an idiot for not heeding his family’s advice to leave Miley Cyrus.

However, following the slew of reports from multiple publications, Liam Hemsworth posted a video on Instagram where he played a funny prank on his fiancé. The “Independence Day” actor was seen screaming inside his car, which prompted the songstress to scream as well. And while Miley Cyrus did say she isn’t a fan of Liam’s antics, it’s clear from the video that their relationship is standing on solid ground.

As for the deletion of all her posts, the former Disney star explained to Entertainment Tonight that she just wants to take a break from social media. Miley Cyrus added that the break will be temporary and she will be back on Instagram with a new account. She also made clear that she and Liam Hemsworth are still together.

"She [Miley Cyrus] doesn't like getting stuck in a particular mold. She is working on new music and plans to come back with a brand new Instagram, with photos to promote her new music," says the source of Entertainment Tonight. The insider added that Miley relishes going against mainstream norms and embraces change rather than resist it. Meanwhile, Liam Hemsworth's next film, “Isn’t It Romantic,” will hit theaters in February 2019.
