This time, an old blog post by the former actress who starred on “Suits” is playing a role in adding fuel to the fire. What was meant to be an expression of many little girls’ dreams has been twisted and turned into a nightmare.
As MSN notes, an old post on the blog The Tig recently caught the attention of the media due to the fact that it mentions the Duchess of Cambridge. It’s worth pointing out that the subject of the post was an interview in which the actress talked about her dreams of becoming a princess. Now, it has been made fodder to make the Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton feud an even bigger issue.
“Little girls dream of being princesses. I, for one, was all about She-Ra, Princess of Power. Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy. Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate,” the actress had said at the time.
While legitimate publications focused on the fact that the American actress was able to make her dreams come true despite overwhelming odds, the tabloid media chose a more despicable route. Many outlets basically pointed to the post to say that this was the reason for the Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton issue.
“She’s jealous of Kate!” is what these publications are writing and many of the headlines are finding their way to the top of news rankings on the web. Even ignoring the fact that this particular Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton story is being taken completely out of context, the reports are simply vicious. This was a little girl’s dream coming true and it is being used as a means to hurt her.
