JLT Specialty USA has seen impressive growth over the last three years due to its specialist focus and complex risk expertise. Chicago has been a critical part of that growth and expansion. JLT Specialty USA will continue its investment in the city as the Chicago location is expected to become its flagship office and largest location in the U.S.
“JLT could have chosen any city in the country as their American headquarters, but they chose Chicago because of the talent pool, infrastructure and stability our great city offers,” Mayor Emanuel said. “JLT’s American headquarters will be a strong addition to Chicago’s business community, and we look forward to their continued long-term investment and job creation in Chicago.”
“As complex risk specialists we offer deep expertise in key industries and products. Having access to top talent drives our ability to solve challenges for our clients. Chicago became an obvious choice for investment given its impressive infrastructure, higher education and talent pool, especially in the insurance sector,” said Michael Rice, CEO, JLT Specialty USA. “We continue to see value in making long term investments here.”
“Chicago is the location that has all the elements to drive growth,” said Pat Donnelly, Deputy CEO, JLT Specialty USA. “It is home to a diverse base of global businesses that are driving innovation and has one of the most highly educated workforces in the country. This combination gives us the resources to add creative thinkers that can drive solutions for our clients.”
The Chicago office is located at 225 West Wacker on the 5th Floor and is occupied by several JLT executives and approximately 60 specialists across key product and industries. The company plans to double the size of its workforce in Chicago over the next few years.
