“Lucifer” season 4 has been saved from permanently going off the air when Netflix signed it up for new episodes. FOX Network pulled out series from its programming lineup but the campaign launched by the fans worked when the leading streaming site ordered the fourth installment.
Filming for “Lucifer” season 4 immediately began after the save and it is now in the post-production stage. Since it moved to a new home, the possibilities its story widened. With less restriction, the show can now do many scenes that they were not able to do before while under a regulated broadcasting network.
Now, with this said, what can fans expect in the upcoming “Lucifer” season 4? Fans are curious to know what happens next after Chloe Decker saw Lucifer Morningstar’s devil’s face. The reveal of his real face was shown in season 3’s finale so the viewers are waiting for the continuation via the fourth season.
Chloe’s reaction in that finale episode seems to suggest that her utter shock will have a bad effect on her relationship with Lucifer. Perhaps, she will never see him or go near him again in “Lucifer” season 4, but fans theorized that there could be some twists.
Express reported that fans wrote on Reddit that Chloe may have not seen Lucifer’s devil’s face at all. In the thread, someone asked if Chloe did not see his face, then what was her shocked reaction for?
One Redditor replied that she could simply be reacting to Marcus Pierce’s (Tom Welling) death and not because she was seeing Lucifer’s real face. However, a statement from “Lucifer” season 4’s showrunner, Joe Henderson, seems to have debunked this theory way before this assumption surfaced.
During his interview with Deadline, he said, “Chloe saw Lucifer’s devil face. Finally, proof that Lucifer really is who he said he was. No turning back. Chloe knows the truth.”
He went on to say, “That was the big thrust of season 4 – exploring Chloe dealing with those ramifications, and how it affected her relationship with Lucifer.”
Netflix has not released an update about “Lucifer” season 4’s airdate yet but fans can expect it to be released anytime now since the cast and crew are done filming the new episodes.
