‘Lucifer’ Season 4 Air Date, Spoilers: Plot and Episode Titles Are Out; How Will Lucifer Deal With the Aftermath of Chloe’s Discovery About Him?

“Lucifer” season 4 is definitely safe now after Netflix saved it from being gone forever. After Fox Network canceled the show, the streaming site announced that it will take over and release the next seasons of the series. So, what can the fans expect when it airs under a new home?

Before “Lucifer” season 4 returns, it is a good idea to check out some details and spoilers first so here are some things to know:

The Cast

Netflix or the production team of “Lucifer” season 4 has not released an official list of the returning cast members but fans will surely see Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar again. And of course, Lauren German as Chloe Decker must return since people are waiting to see what she will do next after finding out Lucifer’s real identity.

It is also highly likely that Kevin Alejandro (Dan Espinoza), DB Woodside (Amenadiel), Lesley-Ann Brandt (Mazikeen), Rachael Harris (Dr. Linda Martin) and Aimee Garcia (Ella Lopez) are coming back to reprise their roles.

Plot

The official plot of “Lucifer” season 4 is still uncertain but showrunner Joe Henderson previously shared what he and co-showrunner Ildy Modrovich were planning to do before Fox canceled their show. For the fourth installment, basically, it would be the continuation of season 3.

It will pick up from the third installment’s finale where Chloe saw Lucifer’s devil’s face after he killed Marcus Pierce (Tom Welling). It is a given that she was very surprised and frightened but what will happen next would be very interesting.

“Chloe saw Lucifer’s devil face. Finally, proof that Lucifer really is who he said he was. No turning back. Chloe knows the truth,” Joe Henderson told Deadline. “So that was the big thrust of season 4 – exploring Chloe dealing with those ramifications, and how it affected her relationship with Lucifer.”

Moreover, “Lucifer” season 4 will present some plot twist as Eve, the original sinner, landed on Earth to comfort, or more likely to tempt, Lucifer. Inbar Lavi has been enlisted to play the new character and based on the first photo teaser, she is a temptress who still loves the devil, her first love.

Also, expect some nude scenes since “Lucifer” season 4 has fewer restrictions now that it is on Netflix. Henderson and Modrovich revealed that with the change of network, the show has unlimited possibilities now so they can explore more angles and nude scenes are not a problem anymore.

Episodes and Titles

“Lucifer” season 4 may only feature 10 episodes since this is Netflix’s usual rule. The titles for these stories have also been released via the official Lucifer Writers Room Twitter and here they are in consecutive order: "Everything's Okay," "Somebody's Been Reading Dante's Inferno," "O, Ye Of Little Faith, Father," "All About Eve," "Expire Erect," "Orgy Pants to Work," "Devil Is As Devil Does," "Super Bad Boyfriend," "Save Lucifer," "____: King of Hell?"

Air Date

“Lucifer” season 4 has no premiere date yet but it is expected to be released in early 2019. Filming for this installment wrapped up already so it will arrive on Netflix any time now.
