Today is the fourteenth anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, the day when coordinated terrorist attacks on American soil shook the entire world.
To commemorate the day’s tragic events and pay tribute to the thousands of people killed in the attacks, a free live online streaming of memorial events at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum has been scheduled today.
“The live webcast of the September 11, 2001 anniversary ceremony begins at 8:40 a.m. The observance of the 14th anniversary is on the 9/11 Memorial plaza. Family members of victims of the 2001 and 1993 attacks have been invited to read names. The first moment of silence is at 8:46 a.m., marking the time Flight 11 struck the North Tower”, the website said.
Moreover, the 9/11 Memorial will be open to the public for a special viewing of Tribute in Light on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
“Beginning at 3 p.m., the 9/11 Memorial will be open to the public for a special viewing of Tribute in Light on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks. The Memorial provides a meaningful vantage point of the annual tribute. The Memorial will remain open until midnight”
The 9/11 Tribute Center has also announced the inaugural Dine Out for 9/11 Tribute to raise awareness and funds for their education programs by partnering with New York City’s best restaurants.
