Lee Min Ho has been discharged from military service on April 25 and fans are already looking forward to his next project. While serving in the army, the 31-year-old actor was assigned as a public social worker at the Suseo Social Welfare Center in Gangnam as he is not fit to work as an active-duty soldier due to the injuries he sustained from two car accidents that happened in 2006 and 2011.
A few hours after his discharge, Min Ho is back on social media and the first photo he posted was an image of his beloved dog, Choco. The actor’s pet posed besides flowers and gifts that appeared to be items that he got from his fans who welcomed him back to life as a civilian. The next day, he is in the picture with his pet, and he looks so fresh - nothing changed in his appearance in the two years that he served the army.
On his return, it was not just the fans who greeted Lee Min Ho but his closest friend, Jung Il Woo, warmly welcomed him as well. The actor is currently promoting his new drama titled “Haechi,” and during his interview with Herald POP, he was also asked about Min Ho.
Il Woo revealed that he already talked with Min Ho as soon as he was discharged. “When he was discharged, I contacted and congratulated him,” he told the magazine via Soompi. “He worked hard, and whether it’s serving as a public service worker or as an active duty soldier, I think it’s amazing that he worked hard.”
Finally, the best part is that Il Woo hinted that Lee Min Ho is already looking at possible projects to work on next since he is free to do it now. He also wished his friend a successful return and good health that only shows how close they are.
“Min Ho is probably selecting his next project now, and I want to tell him to build his stamina,” Il Woo said. “To me, he’s a friend like no other, so I hope he makes his return successfully. I want him to return with a nice project since many fans are waiting for him.”
