CFTC commitment of traders report was released on Friday (22nd June) and cover positions up to Tuesday (19th June). COT report is not a complete presenter of entire market positions; however, it represents a good chunk of institutional traders, to have a feel of what expected by the big players.

- Gold – Net position long and decreasing
Long positions declined last week. The net long positions got decreased by 23,728 contracts to +96.5K contracts.
- Copper – Net position long and decreasing
Long positions declined for the first time in six weeks. The net longs declined by 14,226 contracts to +56.3K contracts.
- Silver – Net position long and decreasing
The long positions declined for the first time in four weeks and by 8,828 contracts to +40.9K contracts.
- WTI Crude – Net position long and decreasing
Speculators reduced long positions last week, and by 14,346 contracts, which brought the net positions to +580.9K contracts.
- Natural gas – Net position short and decreasing
Short positions declined last week and by 11,869 contracts that pushed the net position to -49.3K contracts.
