Digital ID verification company Jumio has announced that it has been chosen by Krypto Commerce, a Spanish cryptocurrency specialist, in order to provide services like know-your-customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) for crypto-currency PoolMiners Card.
PoolMiners Card, a new product of Jumio, is a prepaid debit card that uses digital currencies in place of dollars, pounds and euros and an online only product. It has no physical branches where IDs can be checked before opening an account. Jumio’s ID verification technology, Netverify, which provides users with real-time ID verification will help in ID validation and fulfill required rigorous KYC and AML checks.
“Compliance and security are critical to our proposition, but equally, we don’t want to have a clunky verification system that doesn’t provide a good user experience. Netverify is absolutely perfect for our needs and will provide the level of customer service and experience that we want our cardholders to enjoy at every stage of their relationship with us,” Rubén Arcas, Project Director at Krypto Commerce, said.
With the new services, customers can use their mobile devices to scan their passports in order to verify themselves swiftly and accurately and start taking advantage of their new PoolMiners account and card.
“Crypto-currencies are a driving force in commerce and finance. What started as a niche currency is becoming part of the financial norm. The PoolMiners Card is a critical part of this revolution and we are pleased Jumio can provide the advanced verification technology required to bring it to market,” Chief Revenue Officer at Jumio, Robert Prigge said.
Krypto Commerce has establishments in European countries like Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Switzerland, South America and Russia and plans to extend it to market in the US. Jumio accepts IDs from over 200 territories globally, which makes it a perfect solution for current and future ambitions.
California-based Jumio delivers the next-generation in digital ID verification, enabling businesses to reduce fraud and increase revenue while providing a fast, seamless customer experience. The company uses computer vision technology to verify credentials issued by more than 200 countries in real-time web and mobile transactions. Jumio is funded by Centana Growth Partners.
