TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 15, 2017 -- Tampa-based Kforce Inc., a leading professional staffing services and solutions firm that provides strategic partnership in the areas of Technology, Finance & Accounting and Government, announced today that it will be donating $100 for every new consultant it places on an assignment, up to $1 million. Its pledge will support the ongoing recovery efforts from the devastation caused by hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
Kforce is partnering with the American Red Cross to allocate donations specifically to assist the victims of hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Kforce is also engaged in putting those displaced from their jobs due to the hurricanes back to work quickly and in quality positions. Kforce clients are encouraged to support this effort.
“The Kforce family has been personally affected by both Harvey and Irma and we know our family isn’t the only one still recovering. We understand that it takes time to come back from something like this, which is why we are making a long-term commitment to continued relief. We are relieved that our corporate headquarters in Tampa was not impacted by the storm and that all systems continue to function normally for our people and clients,” said Kforce Chairman and CEO, David Dunkel.
The American Red Cross has established a Kforce page to accept donations from others wishing to contribute. A link to this page can be found on Kforce.com.
“We are extremely grateful for the generous support of our amazing donors, such as Kforce, as we work across Red Cross societies, with community partners and volunteers on the ground to help people affected by Hurricane Irma,” said Gail McGovern, president and CEO of the American Red Cross. “Hurricane Irma is described as the most powerful Atlantic Ocean storm on record—making contributions from our partners even more critical to help us provide food, shelter and the necessary emergency relief supplies to ensure people are safe and cared for during this difficult time, as well as through the relief and recovery process.”
Dunkel continued, “We are so grateful for the safety of our associates and consultants, and will do what we can to help rebuild the lives, homes, and communities of those impacted. Stewardship and community support are at the core of who we are as a firm.”
