Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have been dating on and off for two years. However, their relationship has been getting stronger in recent months and reports are coming in that the “Lord of the Rings” alum is ready to settle down.
A source of People magazine said that Orlando Bloom is ready to wed Katy Perry, although he hasn’t popped the question just yet. But if he does, then the “Roar” singer seems eager enough to say yes.
So eager, in fact, that she recently paid $50,000 just to date Orlando Bloom. During a charity auction event for the hapless victims of the Woolsey Fire, Katy Perry auctioned off her beau for the crowd. Those who would bid the highest price would win a date with the “Troy” actor, spending the day with him riding motorcycles and having lunch together.
But as Katy Perry went on to detail the activities of the date, she became increasingly jealous – it was feint, of course – and announced that she’ll be bidding $50,000 for the chance. If she hasn’t, then the date would’ve gone for a woman named Laura who apparently bid $20,000 to get a chance to spend the day with Orlando Bloom.
Although all of these are sweet and charming, a rumor is floating around claiming that Katy Perry wants Orlando Bloom to sign a prenup agreement if he wants to marry her. According to Radar Online, the “Think Of You” singer wants to protect her hard-earned millions given she has a poor track record in dating guys.
Of course, since Radar Online published the article, it’s best to be wary of this narrative as the outlet has a history of writing fabricated stories. As mentioned earlier, Orlando Bloom hasn’t even proposed to Katy Perry just yet. While it’s possible that the two has talked about tying the knot, signing a prenup agreement seems pretty premature at this point.
Besides, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are happy enough as it is and appears not in a hurry to walk down the aisle. The couple celebrated Christmas together on a tropical getaway. The songbird posted a photo on Instagram with the actor where they were seen enjoying a day at a falls with a rainbow highlighting their vacation.
