Katie Holmes was spotted wearing an item from Jamie Foxx’s sunglasses collection while going for a walk around New York City last week. The couple might have a rule of not getting photographed together in public, but it will not stop them from showing support for one another.
As spotted by InStyle, Holmes was wearing one of the sunglasses from Foxx’s collection with the brand Privé Revaux last week. Given that the couple wants to keep their relationship away from the public eye as much as they can, reports took Holmes’ fashion choice that day as a subtle nod of support for the “Django Unchained” star.
Even more interestingly, Holmes's show of support for Foxx happened on the same day her boyfriend was spotted exiting her NYC apartment. Foxx was seen leaving the building with several bags in tow, hinting that he might have spent a few days with Holmes. But, obviously, they also left her apartment separately knowing that a horde of paparazzi is waiting outside for a chance of snapping a photo of them together.
According to PEOPLE’s source, leaving places separately is a plan that Holmes and Foxx want to maintain. The insider said, “Everyone knows they are dating, but they still want to keep it private.”
The same source explained that Holmes and Foxx want to make their dates are more private after being photographed in Malibu last year. The said photo virtually confirmed that they are an item after being seen holding hands while walking on the beach. “After the beach pictures, they only spent time together at home and got extra careful,” PEOPLE's source added.
However, recently, Holmes and Foxx were once again spotted on a Malibu beach for a fun summer date. But the two have yet to address reports about their relationship.
Rumors that Holmes and Foxx are dating go way back to 2013. But the singer-actor immediately denied the reports, insisting that they are just good friends. About two years later, an alleged photograph of them holding hands was published, but there was still no confirmation of their dating status until the Malibu photo in 2017 came out.
