BOSTON, Aug. 09, 2017 -- Jebbit announced today that it closed a $6.8 million Series A round to continue growing its declared data platform for enterprise companies.
Jebbit’s platform enables marketing and sales teams to create beautiful, mobile experiences aimed at capturing the most important consumer data an enterprise needs. Instead of buying third-party data which is often highly inaccurate and incomplete, enterprise brands use Jebbit to capture consumer intentions, motivations, and preferences.
Manifest Investment Partners, a venture firm based in San Francisco, led the round. Manifest was founded by former Brand Networks President Paul Falzone and MIT Data Science Professor, Sinan Aral. Falzone and Jebbit President and Co-founder, Jonathan Lacoste, will join Jebbit’s new board of directors.
“We’re excited to partner with Manifest and new investors to double down on our declared data platform,” said Tom Coburn, Jebbit CEO and Co-founder. “We’ve found a way for brands to cut down on budget wasted on third-party data, by using our mobile experiences to engage consumers more intelligently. The investment will enable us to grow our sales and engineering teams as we continue to expand our customer base and further build out our data capabilities for customers.”
"While data-driven and personalized marketing is ubiquitous, much of the underlying CRM and DMP data is unreliable, incomplete or irrelevant,” said Paul Falzone, Manifest Managing Partner. “We are thrilled to partner with Tom, Jonathan, and the team as they pioneer the declared data category and emerge as the market leader, driven by best-in-class technology and data science, as well as adoption from leading global brands."
Also joining the round were several strategic angel investors from the consumer data space, including Eric Roza, GM of Oracle Data Cloud and former CEO of Datalogix, and Jonah Goodhart, CEO of Moat and Partner at WGI Group. Participation from these investors signals an evolving data landscape and declared data as an area of investment for enterprise companies.
