International Grains Council sees lower supply surplus for wheat

The International Grains Council (IGC) keeps its estimate of the global wheat crop for 2015/16 unchanged at 726 million tons. It increased its demand estimates by 2 million tons, and reduced supply surplus to 6 million tons.

The IGC is pricing the global wheat acreage to fall by just shy of 1% to 221.8 million hectares, notes Commerzbank.
