Hyundai Department Store launched its new membership designed for its foreign customers. It is an exclusive membership that is already attracting shoppers from other countries.
Hyundai Department Store named the new service H Point Global. The company said it is a dedicated membership service for foreigners. It was launched to boost tourism in South Korea and, in turn, help grow the department store chain’s customer base.
Joining the Program
According to The Korea Economic Daily, the new membership program for foreigners offers specialized services and integrated management to accommodate the needs of non-Korean customers. On Thursday, Feb. 1, Hyundai Department Store Group said that H Point Global has combined all the services from its outlets, department stores, and duty-free shops so members can enjoy benefits across the brand’s retail brand locations.
Signing up for the program to get a membership is also easy. Foreigners must download the H Point Global app on the Hyundai Department Store’s website and key in their passport details.
Membership Perks to Enjoy
Once registered, The Chosun Daily reported that members of H Point Global could start accumulating points valued up to KRW100,000. Members can also receive special discounts and up to 7% rebate every time they shop at Hyundai department stores, including duty-free shops.
With their H Point Global card, foreigners can easily book reservations at select restaurants within the company’s chain of stores, including The Hyundai Seoul, a favorite among international visitors. The program also provides other booking services, such as taxi rides. Service providers are linked to the membership cards so users can easily avail of them.
“Our vision for H Point Global is to evolve it into a conduit through which individuals can experience the latest Korean lifestyle trends, creating a global network platform that delivers joy and unforgettable experiences to everyone, regardless of their nationality,” the spokesperson of the Hyundai Department Store Group said in a statement.
