- Japan - ECO watchers survey for current deteriorated to 47.5 for September compared to 49.3 prior, while outlook improved to 49.1 from 48.2.
- Switzerland - Unemployment rate ticked up to 3.4%, compared to 3.3% in August.
- Germany - In August German exports are down -5.1% from prior month and imports are down -3.1% giving trade surplus of € 19.6 billion adjusting seasonally.

- Greece - Unemployment rate for July to be declared at 9:00 GMT.
- UK - Bank of England (BOE), would announce monetary policy and release minutes at 11:00 GMT. BOE governor Mark Carney is scheduled to speak at 18:00 GMT.
- Euro zone - ECB will release its minutes of last meeting at 11:30 GMT.
- Canada - Housing starts to be released at 12:15 GMT for September, followed by house price index at 12:30 GMT.
- US - Weekly initial jobless claims to be released at 12:30 GMT, followed by FOMC minutes at 18:00 GMT. FED's Bullard and Narayan Kocherlakota are scheduled to speak at 13:30 GMT and 17:00 GMT respectively. EIA will release natural gas inventory report at 14:30 GMT.
- New Zealand - Electronic card retail sales scheduled at 21:45 GMT.
