ABC's longest-running scripted primetime medical dramedy, "Grey's Anatomy," recently announced the welcoming of “Nashville” star Chris Carmack to the cast. The entry of Chris Carmack as a new, recurring cast member comes at the time of the loss of four of the show's main cast members, namely Jessica Capshaw, Sarah Drew, Jason George and Martin Henderson.
While there has yet to be news about who Chris Carmack will be specifically playing in season 15, it has been stated that Carmack's character will be directly involved with the orthopedic department as a surgeon.
The show has been relatively mum about what season 15 has in store for fans of the series, but recent tweets from production and potentially the cast can shed light on what may happen when the upcoming season airs its premiere episode on Sept. 27.
One of the show's executive producers, Debbie Allen, tweeted a picture of the show's team on the second day of shooting for “Grey's Anatomy” season 15 on set.

But interestingly enough, Alex Blue Davis, who plays Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital intern Casey Parker in spinoff comedy shorts “Grey's Anatomy: B-Team,” tweeted about being on set for “Grey's Anatomy” season 15.

Another “B-Team” member tweeted his excitement as well. Rushi Kota, who plays Vik Roy, tweeted a video of himself excited about the show, tagging the show's official Twitter account.

This could potentially mean that aside from Chris Carmack joining the “Grey's Anatomy” cast, some of the actors from the well-received spin-off may be getting some airtime for season 15. The fact that the official Twitter page for “Grey's Anatomy” responded to Davis' tweet with their own excitement could potentially confirm the crossover.
Yay!!! We're so excited too! https://t.co/abL2uKpuij

While there were no tweets from the other cast members of “Grey's Anatomy: B-team,” there is a possibility that they will be joining season 15's production as well. In any case, with a new veteran like Carmack coming in to fill the boots of departed cast members, as well as the possibility of new blood being imported from ABC's spinoff series, “Grey's Anatomy” season 15 looks to be in good hands when it airs in September.
