Czech economic growth likely to have remained strong in Q1

Czech Republic’s first estimate of economic growth for the March quarter is set to be released this week. The first estimate might affirm the excellent condition of the Czech economy. On a year-on-year basis, the Czech economy is not likely to have expanded as it had grown at the end of the last year. However, the pace is expected to have remained quite strong, noted KBC Market Research in a report.

The Czech economic growth in the first quarter is expected to have been driven by consumption and investment on the demand side, while the supply side was dominated by industry and services related with trade. In the quarters ahead, the rate of economic growth might decelerate further to 3.3. percent, added KBC Market Research.
