Crypto wallet Edge adds support for Tether, Digibyte, Vertcoin, and Bitcoin Gold

Cryptocurrency wallet Edge has announced that it has added support for ERC20 Tether, Digibyte, Vertcoin, and Bitcoin Gold with the release of its latest version.

In June, Edge announced that it became the first multi-asset wallet provider to add support for Monero (XMR) and Ripple (XRP).

The company said that its v1.3.0 is now available in the App Store and Play Store.

“You can now store, send, and receive all of the above cryptocurrencies inside the Edge Wallet. With the addition of Tether, users can now trade between a US dollar pegged stable coin and other cryptocurrencies by utilizing the integrated ShapeShift exchange functionality. All without leaving Edge or having to create an account with an exchange or providing personal information,” Edge said in a blog post.

With the latest release, Edge has also added support for directly buying Litecoin using a credit or debit card through its partner Simplex. Users would now be able to buy Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Litecoin (LTC) with a debit or credit card.

In addition, Edge has added a number of new functionalities to the latest version including onboarding screens for new accounts, per transaction PIN spending limits, toggle to show fiat balances of wallets in Wallet List screen, ability to view transaction/event history of Simplex transactions, as well as a number of fixes, among other things.
