Coca-Cola and The Walt Disney Company have inked a Marvel superhero collaboration deal. As part of the partnership, the American beverage manufacturer launched Coke drinks in limited-edition can and bottle collectibles.
One-of-a-Kind Product Tie-Up
The team-up of Coca-Cola and Disney to bring Marvel characters to Coke packaging was described as groundbreaking as this is one massive tie-up. The former already released its products featuring 38 heroes and villains of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Innovation Village reported that this is part of Coca-Cola’s global campaign. It has tapped Disney so they can bring the beloved Marvel characters to fans around while also exhibiting Coca-Cola’s timeless appeal.
Availability and Featured Designs
The designs featured in Coca-Cola products include Marvel characters in 38 designs. For regular Coke beverages, the superheroes emblazoned on the collectible cans and bottles are Blade, Cable, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Elektra, Juggernaut, Kingpin, Loki, Moon Knight, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Wolverine, Nick Fury, Storm, Super Skrull, and War Machine.
On the other hand, the available characters for the Coca-Cola Zero Sugar option are Ant-Man, Black Panther, Black Widow, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Groot, Hulk, Iron Man, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Rocket, Scarlet Witch, Shang-Chi, Star-Lord, Thanos, and Thor.
“Our corporate alliance with Coca-Cola uniquely positioned us to develop something remarkably innovative within the industry,” The Walt Disney Company’s senior vice president of global marketing partnerships, Mindy Hamilton, said in a press release. “We took the traditional marketing paradigm and redefined it in the best way possible.”
Coca-Cola’s global head of creative strategy and content, Islam ElDessouky, also commented, “Coca-Cola has a long history with Disney, and it’s exciting to have a relationship that encourages and enables us to continue to push ourselves and our relationship to new heights creatively. This latest collaboration with Marvel allows us to tap into the legacy and affinity for both brands to deliver consumers new and unexpected experiences.”
Fans can start collecting the bottles under the Coca-Cola x Marvel collaboration: These will be sold in over 50 countries around the world.
