China’s Ministry of Industry and Information technology has published its first cryptocurrency rankings based on three criteria – technology, application, and innovation.
They ranked Ethereum as the world’s best blockchain network, followed by Steem, Lisk, NEO and Komodo. Bitcoin was placed only at the 13th position out of the total 28 places.
The whole rankings look like this:
1st to 5th – ETH, STEEM, LSK, NEO, KMD
6th to 10th - XLM, ADA, IOTA, XMR, STRAT
11th to 15th -11-15: QTUM, BTS, BTC, XVG, WAVES
16th -20th: ETC, XRP, DASH, SC, BCN
21st-25th: LTC, ARK, ZEC, NANO, BCH
26th-28th: DCR, HSR, XEM

Notably, Bitcoin has highest score in innovation followed by Komodo, Ethereum, and Cardano, while those will lowest innovation scores are NEO and Bitshares.
Other ranking criterion was technology and Bitcoin has lowest score of 39.4 percentile – far below Ethereum (80.3%) and Steem (82.6).
