“Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 83 picks up from a big reveal that mainly involves Onoki. It is now being speculated that he could be trying to attain some sort of immortality based on his idea of maintaining peace.
“Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 83 is titled “Onoki’s Justice” which may be suggesting that the anime series will discuss his real intentions in the next installment. It was recently revealed that Onoki is Lord Ku’s “father” and “master” all along, which means he was the mind behind the plan of luring Mitsuki into the Land of Earth.
It turns out that Onoki’s appearance at the beginning of the arc meant more than just an innocent tour around Hidden Leaf with Boruto, Mitsuki, and their friends. Though Onoki is confirmed as the one pulling the strings, it is still unclear why he started this project. But more clues are likely going to be provided in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 83.
At the moment, the most interesting theory related to “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 83 suggests Onoki wants to achieve immortality. The former Tsuchikage might be wanting to make sure that the death of his grandson, Kozuchi, will not happen again even at a time of peace in the Shinobi world.
Since he is obviously at a very advanced age and might be close to dying, Onoki likely wanted to prolong his life or have a synthetic human as a future vessel of his persona. This leads to the conclusion that he employed Lord Ku’s expertise and learned that Mitsuki is a very rare case of a successful synthetic human project. Note that these are mere speculations and, hopefully, “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 83 will provide more defined answers.
Meanwhile, if there is one thing certainly happening in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 83, it is that another Akuta attack is happening. Viewers already saw another horde of Akuta appearing in episode 82. Boruto, Sarada, Shikadai, and Chocho will get separated during the encounter so they will all decide to retreat and regroup at the location where Inojin is currently staying.
