Abigail Hawk, who plays Det. Abigail Baker, recently posted photos and a video on Instagram that featured her and “Veep” actress Sumalee Montano in uniform for the upcoming “Blue Bloods” season 9. It seems that Montano will be appearing as a guest in a future episode of the upcoming installment.
Sumalee Montano is known for her voice-acting work with popular video games such as “Destiny 2” and “Fallout 4.” She has also guest starred in a significant number of shows, including “E.R.,” “The West Wing,” and “ The Young and the Restless.” Montano's appearance in “Blue Bloods” season 9 looks to be an exciting affair that will focus on Hawk's Baker.
Beyond Hawk's posting of her and Montano together at a “Blue Bloods” shoot, details of Montano's role in “Blue Bloods” season 9 have yet to be spilled by the show's cast and crew and Montano herself. But fans can potentially piece together the potential plot of the episode that Montano will be guesting in based on Montano's own social media posts.
Montano recently posted pictures on Twitter that mention wrapping up filming in New York from Sept. 10 to 11. The accomplished voice actress subtitled the Sept. 11 photo in appreciation of the people who came to the 9/11 memorial to pay their respects.
Wrapped filming and made it to the 9/11 Memorial. Hard not to cry. But amazed by how many different languages I heard spoken by people visiting and paying respects today ❤❤❤ #911Anniversary #groundzero #WeAreOne pic.twitter.com/J7spReMvfd

While the posts do not specify which specific shoot Montano was filming for, Hawk's recent photos and video of her and Montano together, as well as Montano's New York location for her recent shoot, could point to a potential 9/11 tribute episode for “Blue Bloods” season 9. Creating a 9/11 tribute episode is not new for the show considering that it has always been about honoring men and women who have sacrificed so much for those around them.
Fans can look forward to the potential tribute episode when “Blue Bloods” season 9 airs its premiere episode on Sept. 28.
