Blockchain firm Bitfury Group opens new office in Russia

Leading blockchain company Bitfury has opened its office in Russia in order to bring its products to the country’s government agencies and companies and launch pilot projects, Forklog reported.

The new office will particularly focus on the sales of Bitfury’s two main products – Exonum and Crystal:

  • Exonum: An open source enterprise-grade blockchain framework that is custom designed to securely and easily allow an individual, company, institution or government to build a blockchain system that solves their challenges and enjoys the unmatched security of the Bitcoin Blockchain, while also offering the technology’s most attractive features like transparency and smart contracts.
  • Crystal: Launched in January 2018, Crystal is an all-in-one Bitcoin Blockchain investigative tool designed for use by law enforcement organizations and financial institutions.

In addition, the new office will implement pilot projects with Russian partners of Bitfury Group. It will be led by Dmitry Ufaev.

Russia is the seventh country where Bitfury has set up its offices. The company, headquartered in Amsterdam, has already opened its offices in the USA, Great Britain, South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Ukraine.

Russia now has a huge potential to become the number one in the world in terms of the implementation of blockchain technologies. Bitfury Group's decision to open a Russian representative office confirms our interest in creating block-based solutions for Russian customers, "said Valery Vavilov, founder and CEO of Bitfury Group (loosely translated).

In February 2017, Bitfury Group partnered with the Government of the Republic of Georgia in a move to expand blockchain land-titling project. Later in April, it BitFury teamed up with the Ukrainian Government to build first full-scale blockchain eGovernance program for the country.
