Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani got to know each other more when they both coached in “The Voice.” Back then, the celebrities were involved in their own relationships, with the country singer married to Miranda Lambert and the No Doubt vocalist tied with Gavin Rossdale.
After Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani divorced their respective spouses, the two started dating, which started in November 2015. Since then, the celebrity couple’s relationship has blossomed into the roaring flames we see now.
So it’s with great confusion that Life & Style (via Gossip Cop) published a story that claims Blake Shelton is the reason why Gwen Stefani didn’t return as a coach in “The Voice.” The tabloid claims that the “I Lived It” singer told Stefani that she shouldn’t return to the singing competition as a judge because them working together is detrimental to their relationship.
According to the publication’s source, Gwen Stefani agreed to Blake Shelton’s advice, adding that while the “Hollaback Girl” singer adores the show, she loves Blake even more. The tipster further purported that their involvement with the show is one of the major reasons for their fights.
Of course, this story should be taken with a grain of salt since Life & Style has a reputation of publishing stories that are completely unfounded. Besides, Gwen Stefani already said in the past that she’s open to coming back to the show. It’s just that Blake Shelton’s girlfriend is too busy at the moment to cram any more projects into her schedule.
And while Gwen Stefani isn’t going to be a coach in the next season of “The Voice,” there’s still a possibility that she will take on other roles such as an advisor, similar to what happened in season 10. The fact of the matter is that Blake is supporting his girlfriend in whatever career choices she’s going to make, which is one of the major foundations that make them a great couple.
