“Black Clover” episode 54 is going to be a bittersweet installment. The Black Bulls will celebrate the end of the Kiten invasion. But Asta will later receive tragic news about his injured arm.
Members of the Black Bulls prepare for a day of feast and celebration after returning to Castle Town in “Black Clover” episode 54. Meanwhile, Yami brings Asta to Dr. Owen so can tend to his arm.
While fighting in the Invasion of Kiten arc, Asta’s arm was hit by a spell. “Black Clover” episode 54 is expected to include a scene where it will be explained how this attack has affected Asta permanently.
Yami looks up to Owen as the best mage in the kingdom because he previously helped fix Yami’s arm. “Black Clover” episode 54 is likely going to explain that Owen is one of the best mages they have because of his power to see through people’s anatomy and distribute mana to the specific part that was injured.
However, Yami’s optimism and Owen’s skills will not be enough to counter the spell that hurt Asta’s arm. The happy celebrations in “Black Clover” episode 54 will turn sour for a moment once Owen tells Asta that he can no longer use his arm.
Asta will attempt to hide it from the Black Bulls but Finral overhears Owen when he delivers the bad news. Finral later tells the rest of the squad, which then halts the festivities in “Black Clover” episode 54.
Interestingly, the “Black Clover” episode 54 title, “Never Again,” can be interpreted in a couple of ways. It could be seen as a reference to the news that Asta can never wield a sword again with his arm. But the latter part of the episode will most likely end on a positive note, providing fans with the second interpretation of the episode title.
“Black Clover” episode 54, airing on Oct. 16, will probably cover the part where Asta makes a promise to himself that he will never give up looking for a cure or learning to fight with one arm. Meanwhile, the healing of Asta’s arm leads to a new arc as Vanessa might know of another kingdom that may have the antidote they need.
