While Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may be very congenial over the parental wellness of their kids, the same can't be said regarding a potential reignition of their passions for each other. Affleck and Garner officially split back in June 2015. People have always speculated whether the couple would finally reconcile and get back together, even roping in Garner's ex-mother-in-law.
Unfortunately, while being the best parents to their kids during the period of their divorce and having great relationships with the rest of the couples' families are all well and good, a reconciliation between the two actors may not be a possibility in the near future.
Even when the couple came back from a very refreshing vacation during last year's summer, which certain outlets edged on as a potential reconciliation point for Affleck and Garner, that possibility was stopped dead in its tracks a few days later.
Affleck's relationship status was officially confirmed by July 2017 when Lindsay Shookus, a producer for “Saturday Night Live,” went public that she was dating the Oscar-winning actor.
It's nice to see that even with Affleck dating Shookus for almost a year in, Jennifer Garner still respects the man enough to throw him a heart-warming shout-out on Instagram for Father's Day.
Jennifer Garner posted a black and white photo of Ben Affleck on her Instagram on Father's day
Ben Affleck may have reciprocated under the radar with his own post on his Instagram page.
The particular shout out to the old flame lies in his photo's description, where Affleck includes “all women” who empower the luckiest children in the world for a happy Father's Day. While cute and also very heartwarming, the indirect manner that Ben Affleck referred to Jennifer Garner may lead fans to certain conclusions about who between the ex-couple would really want to reconcile.
Until Affleck ends up tying the knot with his current beau, fans of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner will hold out hope that they will get back together.
