The “Avengers: Endgame” is set to be released next month and while there is still a few weeks left before its premiere, it was alleged that spoilers for the movie are available now due to unintended leaks. There were reports that LEGO was the main source of the spoilers due to the new playsets that it created.
According to IGN, at least two LEGO sets leaked some battle scenes in the highly-anticipated “Avengers: Endgame.” It was stated that France’s Amazon website posted the new LEGO toy sets but they were immediately taken down. The move fueled the belief that the scene featured on the box of the toy set will appear in the new “Avengers” film.
Although the said leaked LEGO toy sets are not available on Amazon now, there were fans and bloggers who were able to save copies thus they were reposted for everyone to see. On the online image sharing site called Imgur, someone uploaded a series of LEGO Endgame sets and fans see this as something that they will see in Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame” flick.
In addition, on Reddit, a Redditor whose profile name is u/SpiderJaz created a thread titled “Avengers Compound” and fans were quick to comment that this is very similar to a scene that was shown in the “Avengers: Endgame” Super Bowl trailer. In the LEGO box, the compound shows mini figures of Thanos with the Outrider and they were in a battle against The Hulk, Ant-Man, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, and Nebula.
The scene seems to hint that there will be time travel in the “Avengers: Endgame” movie and few of the old villains will be coming back for an ultimate battle against Marvel’s superheroes. The theory about the time travel via Quantum Realm came about due to Nebula’s LEGO figure that was dressed in a white armor suit.
Meanwhile, although it is possible for the superheroes to face Thanos on Earth as they time-travel in “Avengers: Endgame,” the Russo brothers, director of the “Avengers” films stated that features on toys do not always indicate where the Marvel stories are heading. Then again, some fans pointed out that the LEGO sets were not created based on imagination alone and Marvel had lied before to avoid further spoiler leaks so perhaps, the viewers will see the exact LEGO scene in the actual movie.
“Avengers: Endgame” will be out in theaters this April 26.
