“Avengers: Infinity War” already featured one incredible cast. But, obviously, “Avengers 4” or “Avengers: Endgame” will offer something much better.
One of the most anticipated additions in “Avengers: Endgame” is Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel (Brie Larson). And she is also expected to play a substantial role in helping the original Avengers regroup and take another shot at defeating Thanos (Josh Brolin).
All the clues are out there confirming Captain Marvel’s involvement in “Avengers: Endgame.” In the “Infinity War” post-credit scene, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) has been keeping an emergency beeper. Before he turned to dust, Fury managed to send a distress signal to Captain Marvel.
A fan theory recently suggested that Captain Marvel might be the only help Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) can get to escape from outer space. As emphasized in earlier plot speculations, Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) possibly saw Iron Man aiding in that 1 out of 14,000,605 outcomes where they win over Thanos.
While Captain Marvel’s addition in “Avengers: Endgame” is a no-brainer, the case for Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is still highly debatable. The common belief is turning back the time is one of the possible ways to save half of the universe that Thanos killed. If so, some fans think other major characters killed, like Loki, might also survive later on.
However, contending theories suggest that the only ones that can be saved are those turned to dust by Thanos’ snap. In that case, Loki and even Gamora (Zoe Saldana) might no longer be resurrected in “Avengers: Endgame.”
Meanwhile, BGR reported that there had been leaked photos showing the time reversal happening in “Avengers: Endgame” would extend up to the timeline of the very first “Avengers” film. Loki played the main villain in this installment and it was later confirmed that Thanos was really the one who sent him to destroy New York.
So even if Loki will not be revived after defeating Thanos in “Avengers: Endgame,” fans of the God of Mischief might still see him in more scenes than expected. The fourth “Avengers” film, where many of the original members are expected to retire (or die), will premiere on April 26.
