‘Attack on Titan' Season 3 Episode 11 Air Date, Spoilers: Did Eren’s Father Come from Beyond the Walls?

There are a lot of mysteries surrounding Eren Yeager’s father, Grisha Yeager, and a big part of his past is about to be revealed in “Attack on Titan” Season 3 Episode 11. The episode will feature a story about the man who gave Eren his Titan abilities and it will come from an unexpected source. Did Grisha actually come from beyond the walls?

As the preview clip of “Attack on Titan” Season 3 Episode 11 shows, the episode will largely center on the secrets of Eren’s father. There’s a reason why he knew about the Royal Family’s Titan connections and why he was privy to so much information about Titans: He was not originally from the city and was actually found outside the walls, in Titan territory.

The revelation comes courtesy of Keith Shadis, whom viewers might remember as the bald officer who trained Eren and his friends when they were still kids. Previously thought of as just the loud instructor who often yelled at future Titan fodder, who could have predicted that Keith would have such valuable information to share? Yet, this is exactly the case in “Attack On Titan” Season 3 Episode 11.

Keith will basically share stories from his past, where it is revealed that he was close friends with Eren’s parents. In fact, he had feelings for Eren’s mother. Unfortunately for Keith, Grisha beat him to the punch and all the events that unfolded after came from a single act of rescue. In “Attack on Titan” Season 3 Episode 11, it is shown that Keith found Grisha wandering outside the walls and suffering from amnesia.

As Otaku Art notes, much of Grisha’s behavior would be odd to Keith since the only humans left should be those behind the city’s walls. Of course, the only explanation for this is that there are other people in other places, and Grisha came from one of these. “Attack on Titan” Season 3 Episode 11 will likely hint at this once it premieres on Oct. 1.
