OVERLAND PARK, KS, USA, Sept. 27, 2017 -- The 2017 Enactus World Cup takes place this week in London, England, bringing together a select group of 3,500 student, business and academic leaders from around the globe to showcase the entrepreneurial action and shared innovation that transforms lives and creates a better future. Jeffery Alderman, President/CEO of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) www.acbsp.org is among the more than 300 global business leaders asked to judge the Opening Round of competition on Wednesday, Sept. 27 and the Semi-Final Round on Thursday, Sept. 28.

“I had the privilege of judging the Enactus U.S. National Exposition in Kansas City last May and I am deeply honored to be part of the World Cup in London,” said Alderman. “These students are our future and it is exciting to see the innovation and creative energy they bring to these projects and the entrepreneurial solutions they present.”
The final competitions are qualified from over 72,000 university students down to the National Champion teams from 36 countries. These 36 teams compete in the Enactus World Cup. Each team has 17 minutes to showcase their projects of entrepreneurial action that are not only making a difference in the world, they have the momentum to create new careers, spark business innovation and deliver fresh energy for social impact. The teams present the impact of their projects to a panel of leading business leaders who serve as judges. The team that best uses entrepreneurial action to create opportunity for individuals and communities will be named the Enactus World Cup Champion.
John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark., www.jbu.edu, with business programs accredited by ACBSP since 2013, will represent the United States in the World Cup this week.
