The wait is finally over. Starting today, Apple’s “epic” 12.9-inch iPad Pro will available for online order and will arrive at Apple’s retail stores, select carriers and Apple Authorized Resellers starting later this week, Apple said in a press release.
“The early response to iPad Pro from app developers and our customers has been incredible, and we’re excited to get iPad Pro into the hands of customers around the world this week,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.
Gottabemobile reports that Apple unveiled a new iPad Pro ad on Monday and announced that the iPad Pro release date is Friday November 13th in stores.
Customers can choose from Silver, Gold and Space Gray variants for the device. It supports a resolution of 2732x2048 (264 ppi) and has A9X chip and M9 motion coprocessor. IPad Pro is equipped with 8 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front camera. Users will be able to record 1080p HD videos.
Moreover, it has built-in 38.5-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery that supports up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi‑Fi, watching video, or listening to music.
“iPad Pro is the most powerful iPad we’ve ever made, giving users the ability to be even more creative and more productive with the epic 12.9-inch Retina display, powerful 64-bit A9X chip and groundbreaking Apple Pencil and new Smart Keyboard. We can’t wait to see what they do with iPad Pro”, Schiller added.
Apple Pencil for iPad Pro makes drawing and sketching feel remarkably fluid and natural, and delivers incredible accuracy for activities like fine art illustration and detailed 3D design, the company said. Apple’s new Smart Keyboard further extends the utility of iPad Pro, offering a full-sized keyboard in a thin and durable design.
Coming to the price, the 32GB Wi-Fi model comes with a price tag of $799, while 128GB Wi-Fi model is available for $949. The Wi-Fi + Cellular model with 128 GB capacity is priced at $1079.
