SINGAPORE, June 14, 2017 -- The Warranty Group and Carro have launched Carro Care, complimentary cover for cars bought via Carro’s online and mobile platforms. Under Carro Care, vehicles sold on the site come with six months’ coverage, protecting buyers from mechanical breakdowns due to unforeseen failure of the components covered.
“We are pleased to work with The Warranty Group in offering peace-of-mind and convenience to our customers,” says Aaron Tan, CEO and Founder of online marketplace Carro. “This new initiative is another first in the industry, and we are thrilled to introduce this benefit to car owners.”
Through Carro Care, both companies have defined a thorough inspection process for the cars. This ensures car quality and road worthiness.
“Carro Care helps lower cost of ownership, as the first six months are covered under the programme,” adds Dennis Means, Head of Auto Strategy for The Warranty Group.
For breakdowns within the six-month period, car owners can call any authorised workshops to make an appointment to assess the breakdown. After the breakdown is assessed and repair authorised, then the authorised repairer can commence the repairs.
Beyond the six months, car owners can also choose to extend the cover to one, two or three years under Carro Care+, an extended warranty programme to provide additional protection and peace-of-mind.
Carro Care is expected to provide more transparency and convenience to the car buying process, benefiting both buyers and sellers in Singapore. This is the first collaboration between Carro, Singapore’s car marketplace of choice and The Warranty Group, a global provider of warranty and aftersales solutions.
