After holding successful discussions on Blockchain and its impact on the FinTech community in New York, London, and most recently in Chicago, The Mankoff Company, a marketing consultancy, has announced its next Blockchain event – ‘Beyond POC: Blockchain Applications in the Real World’ – to be held on 28 April, 2016 in London.

“After much theoretical discussion over the past year, NOW is the time for bringing some of these POC (Proof of Concept) ideas to fruition.  But what will this mean to the markets and where is the development of blockchain technology going to have its greatest impact?” the online post reads.

The event will bring together leading experts, investors, banks and others to network and engage with those working in the blockchain space and uncover new opportunities and applications. A panel discussion, part of the After the Bell series produced by the company over the past 7 years, for institutions, hedge funds and others in fintech & technology will focus on the application of blockchain technology.

The panel discussion will address some major issues relating to blockchain technology including:

  • Why blockchain is a transformative and evolving platform
  • Understanding and applying blockchain technology: Clearing & settlement, international remittances, land registries, smart contracts and more
  • Adoption of blockchain to improve existing functions and the challenges of dealing with legacy systems
  • Public vs. Private blockchains: Understanding the differences and which is best for your firm
  • What is the fundamental value of the blockchain and how to leverage the technology

The panel will be facilitated by Stacey Mankoff, Managing Principal, The Mankoff Company, and the panelists include Peter Randall, COO, Setl and Stephan Tual, Founder & COO, Slock.it so far.

Early bird registrations are open until 24 March 2016.
