U.S.-based Nova LifeStyle that provides modern lifestyle products and services, announced its plans to utilize blockchain technology to further enhance the brand recognition of Nova’s traditional furniture business.

By leveraging blockchain, the company intends to create a platform to offer other potential products and services. Nova LifeStyle has recently launched nova-mart.com and is in the process of incorporating blockchain-based loyalty rewards as an addition to the present furniture business, in coming months.

“We feel that blockchain technology is the next major advancement in business and we want to take full advantage of this opportunity,” Tawny Lam, CEO of Nova LifeStyle, stated. “We believe that with this rewards based system, we will successfully utilize blockchain technology as another way to help grow the company. Embracing new, emergent technologies is very much in keeping with our corporate emphasis on innovation and trend-setting and we expect the inclusion of blockchain programs to help accelerate our revenues.”

The company in the month of March 2017, recorded 2,000 sign-ups for classroom-based Blockchain programs, which has proved its decision to integrate blockchain into Nova LifeStyle’s business. In response to the record number of sign-ups, Nova LifeStyle has opened another new facility in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong, to accommodate the influx of students and will continue to evaluate additional opportunities for demand-driven expansion, the statement read.

Nova LifeStyle also said that it is joining a list of companies including Tencent Holdings, Deloitte, IBM, Lockheed Martin and Microsoft that are embracing the nascent blockchain technology in order to improve their businesses at the same time, furnishing their appeal to a variety of consumers.
